Farmers are Encouraged to Take Up Seed Production

Farmers are encouraged to take up seed production by being provided with seeds for this specific purpose. These seeds are sourced from the agricultural university. Interested farmers then multiply these seeds and to return to the Jeevana Jyothi seed processing unit. Seeds produced are sold to the farmers in community or village through the farmers’ society of Jeevana Jyothi seeds and fertilizers shop. Seed multiplication is important in that it helps to farmers who had no access to the quality seeds. It is also an income generating scheme where individual farmers are compensated for their efforts in seed production.
